Our team is taking extra precautions to keep you and your family healthy. Below are some of the many procedures we have implemented in response to COVID-19.

Simplified Mobile Check-In

While our waiting area is temporarily closed, we will offer mobile check-in for our patients by phone. Simply give us a call or text at 352-653-1600 when you arrive and we will come out to greet you.

Paperless Covid-19 Screening

During check-in, you will receive a text with a COVID-19 questionnaire. We will ask you to take a few moments to answer the screening questions then re-submit it to us prior to entry.

Non-Contact Thermometers

Before you enter our office we will be taking both you and your child’s temperature with a non-contact thermometer. Temperature readings must be below 100.4° for anyone entering the office.

Safe Check-In and Check-Out Process

We have streamlined our check-in and check-out processes to minimize time spent in the office. Additionally, you will notice hand sanitizer, sneeze guards and added physical distancing where ever possible for you and your child’s protection.

Parents Always Welcome in Private Treatment Rooms

In order to maintain social distancing, we are requesting that for the time being only one parent or legal guardian accompanies the patient during your visit. As you come into our office you will be entering a “Mask on Zone”. Please remember to bring and wear a mask while in the office. Since we have designed our office with only private treatment rooms, you will be separated from other patients by walls during treatment. Additionally, our lower volume, staggered scheduling approach allows us time for proper sanitation between patients and minimizes changes to the unique pediatric dental experience we provide.

Additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

We’ve added more PPE for our entire team including N95, KN95 respirators and Level 3 surgical masks, as well as child friendly face shields and additional washable gowns. The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority.

We Have Enhanced Our Already Strict Safety Protocols and Procedures

We are disinfecting common spaces and high-touch surfaces throughout the day, using disinfection products proven effective against SARS-CoV-2.  As always, we will continue to follow our strict sanitization procedures for treatment areas and ultrasonic/autoclave sterilization of all instruments after every patient.

Surgically Clean Air’s Jade Air Purifiers

Not only have UV Light and Carbon Air purification filters been installed in our HVAC systems but our treatment rooms and waiting area are now equipped with Surgical Clean Air’s Jade purifiers. These medical-grade indoor air cleaning systems are equipped with a 6-stage filtration process that’s designed to remove Chemicals, Toxins, Germs, Odors, and most importantly kill airborne Viruses and Bacteria which help reduce the spread of illness.

We are going beyond sterilizing the surfaces and instruments that we use and actually cleaning the air that we breathe!
